December Favourites

Hi guys, Paige here. Today, as this is this is the last post of December and of 2017, I thought I’d share with you some of my favourites from this month. Some of these are beauty products and some are music and other random things. Also if you want to see some of my favourites more regularly, I post pictures of some of them on my instagram, which is mylifemadepretty.

This month I have been listening to Christmas music but aside from that I have been listening to the new Bars and Melody album which is Covers Part ll. This is there second covers album which came out at the end of November and is mainly what I have listened to this month. My favourites out of the album are unforgettable, too good at goodbyes, and new rules, if you wanted to listen to some of them. I have also been listening to James Arthur this month but more his older songs like impossible. I also have been listening to wolves by Selena, which I know has been out for a few months, but I really like it so I’m going to include it anyway. Another song I have been loving is I Miss You by Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels.

This month, most of the films I have watched have been christmas films so that’s all I can include for in this favourites. My favourite is probably elf and then I also really like the Polar Express and Arthur Christmas.

I haven’t really worn that much make-up this month, and the make-up that I have been wearing has been simple and what I usually do so I don’t really have any new favourites to share. However I have been using a lot more lip balm as the weather has been bad. My current favourites are the Nivea hydro care lip balm which is my go to as well as a Mad Beauty lip balm from there Beauty and the Beast advent calendar. The one in the picture is the vanilla one but I also have a cherry one which is really nice.

I have quite a few body sprays but this month I have been using one from Primark. It is called Mermaid and in body spray version was only £3. It says that it smells of raspberry and passion fruit with a hint of floral, however none of those are too overpowering and it actually smells really nice. I did get this a while ago but this month it has been my go to.

What to Do on a Lazy Day

Hi guys, Paige here. Today I am going to be sharing with you hair, make-up and outfits I like on lazy days as well as things I like to do when I have nothing else to do.

Hair:

On a lazy day I will normally leave it natural or put it into a messy bun. For a messy bun I will pull my hair to the top of my head, as if putting it into a pony tail but then only pull it half through the bobble and when wrapping the bobble round I twist it and pin any parts with hair pins. If I am leaving my hair natural I will either just leave it or put in the Vo5 curl defining mousse as I have curly hair. That is normally all I do because I don’t like doing my hair unless I’m going somewhere.

Make-up:

Even if I’m not going anywhere I will still normally do my make-up just because I like doing it. I will normally only do light make-up on top of my moisturizer. I start with primer and then lightly fill in my eyebrows. I use concealer under my eyes, a BB cream and powder. I will sometimes use bronzer and then finish it off with a setting spray.

Outfit:

On a normal lazy day I will either wear shorts or leggings and then either a jumper or t-shirt so that I am comfortable.

Things I like to do:

• Listen to music
• Watch films/ old favorite films
• Try DIYs I found
• Read blogs/ watch youtube videos
• Try recipes (Mango Smoothie or Flourless pancakes)

Mini Haul

Hi guys, Paige here. Today I am going to be sharing with you a few things I got last week. Sorry for not posting last week and posting this one late.

The first thing I got was some star shaped fairy lights that I got from primark. These look really cute and I have been wanting to get some fairy lights for a bit so I love these. I got two picture stand things in the shape of a banana from primark too. These look really cute when they have pictures in them and are a better way to display them than just having them on a wall.  The lasts things I got were two packs of bracelets from New Look. I saw these and thought they were so cute and I didn’t really have any bracelets before buying these.

DIY Mango Smoothie

Hiya guys, Paige here. Today I am going to be sharing with you how to make a mango smoothie which I posted on my instagram yesterday (mylifemadepretty). This one is really simple to make and is really good.

Ingredients:

Frozen mango cubes
Fresh orange juice
Ice cubes
Honey (optional)

There isn’t really any proper measurements that I use so you just have to do it by eye and add anything extra if needed. I put in some frozen mango to start with and to get the amount of smoothie in the picture I used about 5 cubes. It is up to you how much mango you put in as it depends on how much you want. Then I put some ice cubes in the blender, I normally just put 2 or 3 in. The I pour in some orange juice and make sure that it is up to the height of the ice and mango so that it won’t be too thick. Then I sometimes add a bit of honey into it but not a lot. Once you have done that blend it all together and put it into a cute glass and take artsy instagram photos. 🙂

Mini Haul and First Impressions

Hiya guys, Paige here and today I am going to be giving a first impressions review on some new make-up products. I have only used these products a couple of times so I might do an updated review in the future once I have used them more.

The three products I got were a BB cream by GOSH, liquid highlighter by MUA and an eye shadow pencil by collection and I got all of these from Superdrug.

I got the BB cream by GOSH in the shade 01 Sand which is obviously the lightest colour. I don’t normally wear foundation but I really like this so far. It isn’t high coverage so if that’s what you want then this probably won’t work for you but the colour is really nice and actually is the right shade for my skin. It lasted really well through the day and the rest of my makeup sat well on top of it. This is also the first product I have used from GOSH and I am impressed by it so far.

The next thing I got was the illuminating liquid glow in the shade oyster by MUA. I have used quite a lot of products by MUA and already have a powder highlighter by them and I normally love them. I like this product however I made the mistake of putting too much on and ended up wiping of all the rest of the makeup under it. This only needs a tiny amount as it is really pigmented which I love but it is awkward to not put too much on. Also it is a really pretty colour.

The final thing I got was and eye shadow pencil by collection (it doesn’t say a colour but it was the darker one of the two). I got this as I hate putting eye shadow on as the glitter always ends up everywhere so I thought this would make it easier. There is no fall out however it is waterproof which at first I didn’t believe until I came to get it off. It said use a waterproof makeup remover so I have the simple eye makeup remover which says it removes waterproof mascara so I thought it would be fine. It got it off eventually but it was quite difficult. I still like this product as it is easy to apply and is a really pretty colour however it is as nightmare to remove.

Clothing Haul

Hiya guys, Paige here. So on Sunday I went shopping and so I thought that I should share what I bought with you as I love seeing clothing hauls. So let’s begin.

The shops where I bought all of the items from where H&M and Primark and I am obsessed with everything that I bought. The first thing I got was a cropped mauve ish coloured (doesn’t really look it in the picture) hoodie that has little rips in the sleeves and holes in the jumper. It is super cute and looks really good with jeans and leggings. I got this from primark and they also had it in like a bluey greeny colour too.

The next thing that I got was this dress that I don’t really know what style it is. It is sort of ribbed and like a jumper and is like a pencil dress I think. Anyway it is black with white around the neck and sleeve, it is also a really nice length and I can’t wait to wear it in summer with my superstars. I got this from H&M.

The next thing I got was a black cropped jumper that also has white round the neck and sleeve and also the bottom of it. It is a really nice fit and is longed sleeved which looks really cute and it was from H&M.

The next thing I got which was also from H&M is a pair of grey skinny jeans. These have a rip on the left knee however you can’t really tell in the picture. I can never normally find skinny jeans to fit me well so these ones are perfect.

The next thing I got was this super cute white t-shirt with black around the neck and sleeves that had four different lips on them which looks super cute. It is also super simple which I love and was also from H&M.

The final thing I got was a simple grey t-shirt that has two lightening bolts on it and GRL PWR written on it (girl power). This was also from H&M and is really cute.
